YES! With so many vendors and departments we can special order almost anything.  If you don’t see what you’re looking for contact us.

The first step is to measure your room. Then reference the chart below. Follow this guide below to determine which size down rod you will need.

A good rule of thumb is to add the dimensions of your room. If your room is 10’ x 10’ your light should be 20” – 25” in diameter. Lights should hang about 7’ from the ground depending on ceiling height. Lights over dining tables should hang about 30” from the top of the table to the bottom of the light for an 8’ ceiling. If your ceiling is higher than 8’ the fixture should be raised an additional 2”-3” off the table top for each additional foot of ceiling height. If your light hangs over an island or a bar the light should hang about 36” from the top of the island/bar to the bottom of the light.

To find the right diameter for a light going over your table you can also subtract 12” from the width/diameter of your table. (For example, if you have a 48” round table your fixture should be about 36”.)

The general rule is that you should leave 18” of bare floor around the rug.  But we all know that rules were meant to be broken, so feel free to adjust accordingly for smaller rooms.
